This is my search for design, passion, and compensation. I won't welcome you because it's not actually for you. (what? a blog that's self-indulgent? shocking, I know) Let's call this a good ol' fashioned kick-in-the-pants for me to explore what I really enjoy and attempt to get paid for it. But if you want to read, that's fine too.

Dan Miller, in his book 48 Days to the Work You Love, says that the number one characteristic for a self-employed person is being a "self-starter." Well, here is a start. Interestingly, the book says nothing about being a "self-continuer", so I guess no one can hold me to updating this blog with any frequency. Sweet.

I should note here that it's been 28 days since starting the book and I have yet to finish it, much less find love-worthy work. But if the world was created in 7 days, surely 12 days isn't unreasonable to find a career direction...
